Legends of Runeterra, the new strategy card game set in the League of Legends universe, is coming to Belong!

Announced last year, Legends of Runeterra enters open beta on 24th January at 7pm GMT, at which point anyone can create an account and start playing for free at PlayRuneterra.com

Anyone who played the Preview Patch versions in 2019, or who pre-registers before 7:59am GMT on 20th January, will be able to get in 24 hours earlier, too!

The open beta introduces Ranked mode for the first time in addition to regular matches and Expeditions - Riot Games’ take on draft-based card gameplay.

Legends of Runeterra launches later this year on PC and mobile, with cross-play between platforms as soon as it exits open beta.

What’s more, anyone who takes part during this open beta period will get to keep any content they unlock - including cards and cosmetics - and you will also receive an exclusive Moonstruck Poro Guardian once the game launches!

What’s New

If you played Legends of Runeterra during its two Preview Patches last year, then you may have an idea what to expect. New to the open beta is Ranked mode, as well as a friends list, which will make it easy to take on your buddies face to face at your local Belong arena.

In terms of content, the game features a major update to the Anivia card, as well as smaller changes to 20+ cards featured last year, and there are new boards and guardians to help keep the visuals fresh too!

For full details on the changes since Preview Patch 2, check out the PlayRuneterra.com website.
